Colm O’Neill, in charge of Northern Ireland operations of BT stated that the project was executed in record time with the cooperation and commitment of all personnel involved in the objective of realizing the digital dream of the place. The advanced broadband service will do a lot in improving the social, cultural and economic status of the wonderful city. North West Electronics has been sanctioned GBP 215, 432 for the broadband requirements of the rural sides of Northern Ireland, including Larne, Antrim, Fermanagh etc. North West Electronics will work in conjunction with Kelvin Telecommunications of Londonderry to improve the broadband speeds in the concerned areas. According to Arlene Foster, the Enterprise Minister, the project, which is expected to be completed by March 2012, will fulfil the needs of residential and business establishments by providing them a current broadband speed of at least 10 Mbps.
