Mobile and Fixed Broadband Being Used by BT to Entice Business Enterprises
Neil Scoresby states that companies are interested in amalgamating fixed and mobile broadband connections. The Chief of the telecommunications giant BT stated that their objective is to comply with the requirements of the small as well as the medium sized businesses to be able to access the Internet even when they are on the move. Neil Scoresby during his talks with V3 after they were awarded the prize for the best internet service provider at their Annual Technology Awards function claimed that many companies are looking forward to a combined fixed-line and mobile broadband deal. Mr. Scoresby explained that one means that the company is look at for providing this requirement is by offering its users with access to their Openzone Wi-Fi hotspots networks free of cost. A partnership with Heineken was declared by BT, which will ensure that their wireless broadband service is expanded to include 200 more pubs throughout the UK by the end of 2012. He commented that they were rather strong in the market and with their enhanced facilities of fibre, they would be in a position to assist business enterprises to function at faster speeds and take advantage of their investments with the company. In another place and time, at a function held by V3, Vodafone was adjudged the country’s best Mobile Network Provider, while iPod 2 from Apple bagged the Business Tablet prize and the BlackBerry Bold was voted the Best Smartphone.
