The price of Option 1 broadband deal from leading fixed line broadband provider operating in the United Kingdom BT Broadband has been slashed. Besides this, a promotion has also been extended on the provider's new Talk and Surf broadband and home telephony bundle package.

It is understood that the price of BT Option 1 would be GBP 7.99 for the first three months and thereafter GBP 15.99 a month, when an eighteen month contract has been opted by the subscribers. With this move, the customers are entitled to connection speeds of up to 20Mbps beside a monthly download allowance of 10GB.

The broadband package also includes round the clock customer service, parental controls, internet security and above all, BT's award winner wsireless router - BT Home Hub.

BT said that the customers effectively  got their UK phone calls free with this special offer, as the cost was the same as the usual price for just the broadband.

According to BT's managing director for consumer division John Petter, they wanted to offer their customers a memorable seasonal sale beside promoting their all in calls package. He added that 3.6 million customers of the provider have migrated to call packages over the past twelve months and there they seldom pay for every call.
