BT Wholesale to launch Ethernet networking service

BT, the major UK broadband provider is to launch a new broadband product that will offer 1 Gbps in near future. The new product will be a part of BT Wholesale Ethernet service and will use its 21CN network, according to the report.
 
According to the report, the new broadband service will offer speeds that range between 10Mbit/s and 1Gbit/s and will offer a maximum speed of 10Gbit/s. During the initial phase, the service can be accessed by 100 Ethernet nodes while BT has planned to increase the availability by extending the service to more than 600 nodes within next ten months, as per the report.

The new service helps the ISPs to provide cheaper services or other networking services to the end users as they can take advantage of the relatively cheaper services offered by 21CN network.
