BT services regains after power outage
Recent power outage had disrupted BT broadband in many parts of the UK. However, the services have been restored now and customers can access their broadband connection. Though, the power outage affected an exchange in Birmingham, it disrupted broadband services across the country, said BT.
London, Edinburgh and Wales all experienced the outage, although the number of customers affected was not revealed by BT. The company is its studying the impact and said that most of the services was restored. It said that many customers would have experienced just an hour long outage.
However, BT admitted that some customers are still cut off from broadband service due to the power failure in their major exchanges. Classic tech support advice is offered to customers with disconnected service. Meanwhile, BT engineers are on-site solving the issue.
A spokeswoman said that roughly 5% of BT customers were affected by the outage. BT has apologized for the inconvenience and assured that remaining customers without broadband services will be attended shortly.
