BT Broadband Customers Offers OnLive Gaming Free For Three months

Through Twitter BT is trying to attract avid online gamers with a new and unique offer. As per one of BT tweets, all people subscribing for broadband are being provided the chance to get a taste of the new Onlive PlayPack package free of cost for three months.

This would imply that BT subscribers will have access to over a 100 games for three whole months and the wonderful thing is that they are not obliged to sign up for it either at the end of the three month period.

BT has stated to its followers on Twitter that this was a “treat” from BT to their customers for their loyalty to the various broadband packages that BT has on offer.

Onlive which is gaming platform that runs on a cloud application was introduced in the UK with great ado just two months back in September.

Those people who have the Microsoft Windows, XP, Vista or Windows 7 operating systems and those who run their systems on Intel-based Macs or OS X 10.5.8 or the newer version can make use of this offer. It can also be taken advantage of by people who have smart phones, laptops and other mobile devices.

BT claims that people have the options to play a wide range of revolutionary games if they have a BT broadband Internet connection. The company added that with the onlive Games Service, users have games at their finger tips no matter where they are and these games are provided to them on-demand to whatever system you are using at super-fast speeds.

It states that this involves just the user, an Internet connection and the games that they would enjoy playing on any device that is compatible to and has broadband connectivity.

Subscribers of BT broadband connections who make use of this free offer will get access to the Onlive PlayPack scheme which would otherwise cost them 6.99 pounds every month. They will only have to be eligible for this programme by registering with BT before the end of January the coming year.

As per BT recommendation people wishing to take advantage of the free Onlive PlayPack bundle should have at least a 2Mbps speed connection such that they can have access to uninterrupted and high quality gaming.

In addition, as BT Infinity seems to be providing up to 40 Mb for downloading, speed for most of the subscribers should not be a hindrance.

Bt also said that Onlive provides the newest and most recent games directly allowing the user to play whatever game he chooses whenever he wishes to play. The only hitch is that there is such a variety of games that the user would be in a quandary as to which of them to select to play.
