The chief executive officer of BT Vision, the television service wing of BT, the prominent fixed-line broadband provider operating in the United Kingdom, has hinted at the fact that the fresh technology including broadband internet are being considerably transforming the world of the digital TV.
According to the chief executive of the television service subsidiary of the telecoms giant BT, Marc Watson, the advent of faster as well as advanced broadband internet services has not only driven but also is keeping on driving significant changes in the digital TV world.
This was stated by Watson in a column in the Gloucester Echo. He has further given in the column that the United Kingdom was in the middle of a revolution, which was transforming the way many consumers opted to watch their favourite TV shows.
Watson outlined in the column that the coming years would see a tremendous increase in the number of high definition TV services in the United Kingdom. He added that the high definition services could be nothing but a seamless experience.
Watson concluded saying that people in the country would be able to carry one single hub, which was portable as well, controlling all their business and personal data, media, advance communications and home security.
It is quite interesting that the comments by Watson come after the confirmation given by BT on its improved Vision + TV set top box launch.
