Be withdraws its Legacy Value 40GB Broadband Package

Wednesday, February 9th 2011

One of the popular internet service providers operating in the United Kingdom, Be Broadband has announced that its legacy Value broadband package that used to offer a monthly usage allowance of 40GB at speeds of up to 8Mbps would be fully withdrawn from March 31 2011.

The Be Value broadband package was being offered to customers at a nominal price of GBP 7.40 a month as part of the company's half price promotions.

By contrast, the modern day Be Value package offers up to 12 Mbps download speeds, unlimited usage that is subject to a fair usage policy, a free wireless broadband router and free connection for a higher price of GBP 14.08 a month.

It is obvious that the customers that currently pay just GBP 7.40 a month for the legacy service - something that can be called incredibly cheap - might be a bit miffed at the fresh move by the broadband provider.

There are a good number of consumers across the United Kingdom who think that 8Mbps speed and 12 Mbps speed, and 40GB allowance and unlimited usage did not make a notable difference as GBP 7.40 a month and GBP 14.08 a month did.
