Be customers cross thiry-eight thousand
Be There, the major ADSL+2 service provider was reported to have 38,000 customers by the end of September, 2007 according the third quarter results published by its parent company, O2 Telefonica.
Currently, Be broadband provider network reaches half of the UK population and its 814 unbundled exchanges are DSLM enabled and offer ADSL+2 services to the customers.
Be currently offers three stand-alone UK broadband packages – Be Value, Be Unlimited and Be Pro. Except Be Value which offers 8 Mbps downstream, other two Be packages come with 24 Mbps download speed. All packages are unlimited and come with free Be Box wireless modem and require you to signing up for 12 month contract.
About O2 Telecfonica: The Spanish mobile company operates in European countries like Germany, Ireland, Czech and the UK. In the UK, after its takeover of Be there in 2006, only recently O2 has started launching broadband packages under its brand names.
