AOL broadband offers wireless support

AOL broadband provider has made some significant changes in its product line. The old packages – AOL Silver and AOL Platinum broadband packages have paved way for two new broadband packages with wireless support. The entry-level package – AOL offer has an upgraded speed (8 Mbps) and will also offer 10 GB download limit when taken up for 18 month contract. The other package that has been rolled out to replace the old AOL Platinum is Wireless Plus which comes with 40 GB monthly usage allowance. Both the packages offer free wi-fi router worth £50, free setup and 18 month contract.

This Broadband UK which belongs to the Carphone Warehouse group offers these packages via their LLU network as well as BT lines, however if you are one of the AOL customers who are on BT lines, the monthly cost goes up by £5, AOL Wireless will cost you £19.99 instead of £14.99, the monthly price of the package if it is accessed on AOL’s own network.

In selected areas, (you can find the relevant information on the website of AOL) AOL Wireless customers will pay just £9.99 for the first 6 months and £14.99 for the rest of the contract.

AOL’s premier package Wireless Plus has a special offer free laptop worth £450 if you go for 18 month contract. The Dell Notebook you will get is a basic model, which can be upgraded by paying a little more.
