WiMAX packages unveiled in Milton Keynes
Milton Keynes is to get WiMax packages provided by ConnectMK. As we know FREEDOM4 (formerly Pipex Wireless)has laid the infrastructure and had been testing this technology for the last two years.

New WiMAX service offers three packages each for home users and businesses. While the setup cost is ranging between £45-£60, home users can get the cheapest package for £20 per month. The most expensive business package will cost £160.

If you sign up for home WiMAX packages you can get up to 40GB usage allowance.

Speed? The fastest Wimax for home user offers up to 2Mbps downstream speed and 1Mbps upload speed.

yeah, WiMax can provide speed up to 70Mbps downstream speed. This compares with 7.2Mbps downstream speed of mobile broadband.

WiMax is not still affordable to many, but good for highspeed internet access over longer distances. Latest 4G mobile technology will offer 170Mbps download speed and to be launched soon by Nokia.
