which wireless antenna?

I need a good wireless antennae for my desktop PC which is wirelessly connected. Which one is better? The antennas that need to be positioned manually or omni-directional antennas?

I use netgear wireless modem.

Both have goods and bads

Yagi antennas need to be turned to right direction to get maximum signals where as omni-directional antennas get signals from all directions.

Yagi antennas are better receivers than omni-directional antennas, so once you have properly positioned them, Yagi antennas are much better.

Which direction should I point it to? The router or the PC?

You should be using wireless router to go wireless. So, the front of the antennae should be turned towards it.

Also make sure that the polarity of the antennas on either side the same, i.e. the antennae in the wireless router and the yagi antenna are either vertically polarized or horizontally polarized, otherwise, you may not get strong signals.
