I enjoy my wireless over broadband anyday. If you are downloading or needing to get information someone quicker I find that for me wireless is much quicker than broadband. I have relatives that use broadband and are ok with the speed, but when I use their broadband connection I am never happy.

I want to ask whats the reason behind the fact that you are not happy using broad band. Because I need to chose a connection in 2-3 days.

What do you mean by wireless?

802.11x? I term wireless as the wireless connection between computer and router, nothing to do with broadband or say dial up etc.

I strictly use WI-FI connections at this point in time. I do not have any connection directly to a router or broadband service. For me it is all about the speed.

I am not saying that broadband speeds are not fine, because for most people they are. There is nothing wrong with it, I just prefer my wireless access.

Go for broadband which is much better than wimax and also you can always go for a wireless router at your home.

Wimax is also doing great as its having less contention ratio and its users are really getting good speed. So its a good decision to go for wimax.

Wireless broadband is a way of connecting to web without wires. It helps immensely to avoid mess of wires, when you go for home networking or connecting multiple computers to share broadband. In recent days, it is perceived as providing greater mobility and freedom for users. Hotspots, wireless routers are quite popular as they cater the broadband needs of the people who frequently travel. However, wired network has some specific advantages like better reliability, speeds, cost-effectiveness etc.
