I have two connections on my work computer and it does not seem to give me any problems. But I do think that for some it can cause a problem if not connected the right way.

If there is a disconnection issue, you need to make sure that you system is not the one disconnecting them. If the ISP (and sometimes they do it on purpose) has a disconnect time if no activities is happening you will have this problem.

Then call your ISP and ask him to give a proper solution as you have correctly stated that disconnect time time in most ISP's is 24 hours and after that also it gets automatically connected after 1-2 seconds.

Even I am using broadband through wireless and also have a wireless network around. Only interruption possible is due to bluetooth.
