I think Virgin Media has improved its broadband service drastically during the last year. They are about to upgrade size L to 10 Mbps soon, while their XL already offers 20 Mbps speed. Their cheap bundles with great value TV services should have helped the ISP to achieve this growth.

Though I am not Virgin Media customer, I think their services are good (based on opinions from Virgin customers)

ISPs slash broadband prices or offer discounts to attract new customers. A few ISPs like BT and Tiscali slash the price for the six months of the contract. Following similar marketing strategy, Virgin Media reduced the price of its broadband pacakges.

When you sign up to its size M package, you will pay just £10 per month for the six months and pay the normal price thereafter. There are similar price reductions for other packages.
