Virgin Media Helpline Charges
From the 1st of July, customers will have to pay 25p per minute and an additional 10p to connect to Virgin Media Helpline!

This is probably not going to go down well with customers who were used to non-premium helpline numbers.

Personally I would prefer if an ISP is upfront and charge a strightforward price on the package without any hidden extras. It really is unfair that the customer has to pay if there are problems with using the service. It is not like we all have nothing else to do with our time and are hassling the suppliers if we don't need to. It should be their responsibility to help us and why do WE have to pay extra?

"Hello my name is Steve, how can I help you?" An indian accent greets you over the phone.

Personally I would be willing to pay the increased telephone charges (don't use support all that much anyway) provided I don't get outsourced to some Indian tech support. Fair enough that it is cheaper to companies to use support methods like this but when I hear they're upping the fee's and I keep getting out sourced, I get a little angry.

Cheers.

I agree with Virgin Media took over things which have gone from bad to worse. Their telephone service is rubbish now and all the departments are mixed up.

One useful tip is you can insist on having your support call charges reuimbursed.

This is only fair since the problem is invariably some cock-up at their end due to the pile of rubbish they run it all on.
