Modem disconnecting with TalkTalk
I connect with TalkTalk using a Thomson Speedtouch330 modem. Unfortunately when I use a P2P app or BitTorrent the modem disconnects after about 5mins. I then have to either re-boot the PC or re-connect the USB cable and then re-connect to the internet. This is very annoying and I can't see why this is happening

If you reed talktalks small print, there is something about them disconnecting you if they think your using p2p sites too much and I can only assume this is whats happening.

I don't have to reset anything to reconnect to the net, it just drops my connection..

I would strongly advise anyone to keep well back from talktalk. I have been with them for a year and it was the worst time of my life on broadband.

I asked for a Mac code so I can migrate to Beaming and was told an email would be sent with the appropriate form.

OneTel were a trouble from the beginning. We waited ages for the SetUp Pack to arrive. Then we found we were charged a months fee when we STILL hadnt recieved the pack.

I thought i was the only one having this OneHell problem of disconnection. Like it was stated, its really annoying when you are trying to download p2p files overnight.
