Talk Talk terrible service

I'd like to share my terrible Talk Talk experience.

My partner signed up to them, being told she had 14 days to cancel the contract. We decided there were better deals so we attempted to cancel.

It took 4 days of trying before our call was answered, eventually it was and the contract was cancelled - or so we thought. The modem still arrived - which we sent back, they still set up the direct debit. We cancelled the direct debit ourseleves so they are now sending us demands for payment.

I completely agree - that Talk Talk's service is dreadful. I've tried to have broadband installed for almost 3 months, excuses are many and varied

I would recommend complaingin to OfCom - their intervention did have a noticable effect in my case and at least their appalling standard is then recorded in official stats!

I also used to be a Talk Talk land line customer and am still waiting for a refund on a contact that, once again their own systems cofirm, was cancelled in January.

Talk Talk seems aptly named - there's lots of Talk Talk from their side but no Listen Act

I've been waiting 3 months to get the 'free broadband' package. So far I've given them two Mac codes, both of which were rejected. Not once did they explain this to me.

Try the new deal from Pipex Homecall, they have agreat deal which I have signed up for! £29.99 a month for upto 8meg BB (uncapped) with free UK landline calls, 25% discount on mobile calls and line rental

I Know Homecall had a couple of bad reports before Pipex took them over but I had brillaint service, was connected to the BB in 8 days at 6.5 mb! Mac code worked fine and easy to get through to them! Highly recommended!

I am impressed with Homecall. For the first week or two, I suffered from repeated dropped connections and thought I'd bought a pig in a poke. Calls to Technical Support were taken seriously, and they promised to investigate.
