Which Headset?
What headset / mic do you use for Skype?

I have a nice Sennheiser headset at home, and when I'm travelling I take a small desktop mic to connect to my laptop, and just use the earphones from my MP3 player.

I can really hear the difference between my big, bulky Sennheiser and the laptop stuff, but I'm not sure if good quality noise cancelling mics and clear headphones come in 'travel size'. If anyone has any recommendations for good 'fit in your pocket' headsets it would be much appreciated!

You tend to lose alot of quality when you get smaller headsets. The set I have, have served me well for the last 4 months, they're a Labtec set for £9.99 from Argos and they're not big/bulky and can fit easily into a laptop bag.

Cheers.

The price range of a good headset is about 15 to 80 pounds , I think that Plantronis range of headstes are the recommend ones for Shype , but there could be more

I don't use a separate headset as such now since I have gotten more used to skype phones. Just like a normal phone, but free calls

It would be great to have a skype phone to make calls free but for that you would have to have it in your office or home . Could you carry the skype phone with you ?

I have been using Plantronics' CS50-USB wireless headset for some time. It's sound quality is quite good and also extremely comfortable. My average VoIP usage is three or four hours daily. Yes, I never feel like going for skype phone.
