Satellite Broadband Providers
Satellite broadband is mainly for people living in remote areas who can not get ADSL or cable. Satellite broadband is quite expensive compared to ADSL or cable broadband connections.

Here is a list of some satellite broadband providers

Satellite Broadband - High Speed Broadband Connectivity with Satellite Technology
Satellite and Internet Services :: Avonline Broadband
AVC Broadband :: 2-way Satellite Broadband

My boss got satelite into his villa in spain , there are different types some that use dial up for upstream and others have a 2 way link , the dial up one is pretty slow.

There are both goods and bads of satellite broadband. It's alternative to ADSL, cable or mobile where these services are not available. The coverage is pretty good. That's ok.

However it is certainly expensive in terms of installation and monthly cost.
The connectivity and signals are usually affected by adverse weather conditions.

The common problem with satellite broadband is that there is a lot of latency so it is not suitable when one requires continuous streaming of data.

I never trusted satelite broadband, as what does not travel through the wires, can be intercepted

It is true that the satellite broadband is costly as compare to the dial up connection, but for users living in remote places have no other option.

Question: Do you really think that just because it travels through wires, that it cannot be intercepted. I certainly hope not! Because it can and it often does more than you think.
