Tiscali 8mb Unlimited

Just a little review on my ISP.

I've been with Tiscali on their 8mb Unlimited package for 6 months now.

Being a high downloader,I ran a lot of Bit Torrent night and day. Their policy is that during peak hours 6pm - 12pm you should download a ton during hours, and despite getting two warnings via email I got put onto a 'heavy user connection' and indeed, the service was terrible.

However, after not running the BT during the peak hours, I got put back on to the normal connection and everything is great. I still download a ton outside of these hours and have had zero emails about it. Always get the a good connection (I am quite close to the exchange though).

For £17.99 a month I cannot complain.

So, in other words, it's neither 8mb or unlimited? . That's the thing about these unlimited plans, they are only unlimited as long as you stay within the limits .

In peak hours everyone wants you to be in the limit as they have lans and if you use your connection out of limits(according to them) others will be affected.

I have been with Tiscali for 2 years now and Im on the same package 8Mb.
Service has been good with not one connection issue in the 2 years, I did have to wait a long time to upgrade to 8Mb and the fastest I,ve had so far is 3Mb but tiscali have been really good with phoning me up regular to resolve the matter, Anyway they have booked BT to come out on Saturday to check my line as can`t get any faster so I think the problem could be on my line.
I,ve never been restricted on the amount I can download and Im always watching videos of youtube and downloading music so I can`t really complain much and all for £17.99 per month

Yes im on the same package as you Smash i must say Tiscali are fantastic.Okay i have had a few slight problems with them now and again but customer support are always on hand to help and always had my problems sorted within 3 days.
