I have connected my modem using Ethernet, but think about connect using usb. But does it make any change on my connection speeds? Which connection is better, Ethernet or usb?

Certainly, Ethernet connection has some advantages over usb. Usb is a bit complicated to setup and also increases latency. If you want to stay online for long time, connect the modem using Ethernet. USB can be used occasionally, as you use your laptop to access internet.
