standard Ethernet,Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet
Hi friends,I wanna know the difference among standard Ethernet,Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet.Anyone please help me.......

Ethernet is the widely installed local network. I too don't know the exact difference among those. I think they are differenciated according to their speed.

As david told ethernet is the widely installed local network.
Standard ethernet can transfer the data at the speed of 10Mbps, Fast ethernet provides 100Mbps speed transmission and athe Gigabit ethernet can transfer the whole gigabit within a second.

The standard ethernet is the one which is more widely used.It has port speeds up to 100mbit/s.Fast ethernet has speeds up to 1gbit/s.Gigabit ethernet can transfer up to 10gbit/s.
