Turnoff the firewall.
I want to turn off the default firewall in my wireless netgear router. How this can be done. Please help.

Basically dont. It will do on the whole a better job of protecting your PC than a firewall on the PC itself if its in its default configuration (Which is block everything).

I've just had a look through my settings, as I have a Netgear 834GT and there doesnt seem to be an option to turn it off.

Just open the default page of your router and there you'll find the option of firewall. If you don't know the address of your default page then see it in your manufacturer's site.

Yes there has got to be an option on the navigation bar named 'Firewall'.From here on in there are a variety of settings you can change.Best just to turn if off completely then all the other settings won't matter for this firewall.
