There are several ways
  • Multiple Access points, each fed by hard wired Ethernet (Such as Ethernet over Power), this is actually the easiest
  • Wireless Repeaters, this normally requires compatible hardware, the Netgear WG 602 will do this and I imagine a quick Google will find others.

Other ways can be improving the aerial of your router, going more directional, hacking your wireless hardware to increase the power.

I like the idea of the wireless repeater is the sort of thing I was after, thanks for the information (I don't think I will be hacking the router hardware)

Repeaters work here, although getting this new Draft N kit DOES increase the range, i have Draft N here, and it almost doubles the operational area

Like JenniP says, get a directional adapter/router Ariel. Most are Omni's which send it 360*, directionals send it in a 45* range and make quite a difference.

Draft-N is the best option though, budget defines the solution.

Instead of using a repeater you can use a second router instead because every router can act as repeater and in future you can use it for other purposes also.

There are many methods to boost your wireless routers signals. These can range from even the most basic of things. This can involve of making sure your router is highly positioned so your router signal can travel far. This is the key point.
