What Can I do if the Router
What Can I do if the Router won't obtain an IP address. There are some simple answers here.

1. Ensure that your modem is connected properly.
2. Unplug then plugging back in your modem this will reset it.
3. When using a dynamic IP addressing, make sure that your modem is DHCP-capable.
4. Some Internet Service Providers require that you use a registered MAC address. To set your MAC address automatically, use the Clone MAC button on the router's Toolbox page.

Sometimes the quickest way to learn is by exploring and not being afraid to explore your computer and make changes as long as you remember to change somethings back then you should be just fine.

And also google and about.com and reading the manual of the modem also helps but no one cares to read the manual.

I written a tutorial on DHCP 'for noobs', not gonna post it as it's fairly long for one post, but I'd be happy to answer what I can o the subject. It's a simple concept of issuing computers, network printers etc an internal 'non-internet' IP address for a time definable by the server/administrator.

And also keep the maximum range possible as sometime due to less range it shows limited connectivity.

I would like to add security as each router owner should go for mac binding. And never allow other unauthorized computers to connect.
