If you are moving from adsl to adsl or from cable to cable.Then you can go for the same router else not.

Yes you can however, you will have to find out to configure it all yourself as your new Internet Service Providor will not be able to assist you with connecting it.If you use the ones supplied by your ISP you should have no problems as they often have guidance on setting it up.
