2Wire Wireless Router from BT

Just a quick feedback on 2wire broadband wireless router from BT. I got this 6 months back, it has been on 24/7 all this time with no problems at all!

Previous modems and routers I have had from BT have been a bit unreliable but I love this one. It actually came free with one of their broadband packages.

The new BT Wireless Network 1250 is actually a 802.11b wireless built-in router. Its transfer speed is just one-fourths of Linksys WAG-54G, however, I don't find any problems with watching a streaming video or playing on-line games.

What do you think about its price? £136.16 seems a bit costlier. If you have any idea to setup Home PNA networking, you will probably need this router.

I wouldn't pay that much to get a router when you can get it free with most internet providers, whether you are switching or you are signing up new.

In the Unlimited Broadband comparison page on this main site, I could see many offers with free wireless routers.

Why would you want to pay more than £100 for a router if you can get it free?

I really like how B.T are giving away wireless routers with there packages, it makes more people want to buy from them, i think there doing a great job .

From my experience with 2wire wireless routers, I'd say that they are very stable and highly secured. Much of the work is concentrated on the first time setup but once that's done, every thing's a breeze.

Thanks guy for the info on 2wire wireless routers have been having a problem with a good router , will get one by tomorrow , but do I need to get some one for the set up or can I do it my self

It would be easy for you to set up too. Routers working with ADSL do not require you to be a rocket scientist. Give it a shot.

You can also try d-link if BT gives you problem somewhere sometime down the timeline.
