3Com wireless modem router
Obviously, I can't speak for every 3Com modem router with my experience but, to me, they don't seem reliable for what they cost.

Getting started, well if you've got a spare 3 hours to mess around with different settings and update patches then no problems.

It broke down a few month into usage and I returned it to 3Com for repair, they were very efficient and within days the router was back.

Unfortunately though it seemed to be fairly unrelaible, working weeks at a time with no problems, then throwing a wobbly for a full day.

It then, completely randomly, decided to stop working again. This time just a one month out of warranty - Leaving me with a Laptop and 2 consoles without WiFi.

Anyone else had any experience with 3Com products? What do you think of them?

I know what i say could be quite surprising to you Tom, but my experience with my 3Com Wireless ADSL router has been fantastic! i am using this one, and i found that its range was quite surprisingly large even compared to Dlink and Linksys, i really love this router, i dont know about their other routers lik broadband and ethernet bridges etc, but i definitely can say i have been using this for over a year and am pretty happy with it.

Use cisco/linksys router they are the best routers providing adequate security and you can easily configure them once you read the manual which can be read in just 30 minutes.

I use netgear they are cheap and good and also provide good security. Apart from this they'll replace our router if there is some hardware problem.
