Torrents.
Is there some applications which can tell in advance that this particular torrent will download virus as all anti-virus tell only after the whole is being downloaded.

Basically no, you may get lucky and when a torrent packet is written to disk it triggers off the AV but its fairly unlikely.

Your best bet is just using "trusted" torrent sites and keeping a good backup of your PC.

One good way to test though is having a virtual pc, install the software inside that, spyware and AV scan it if its ok install it on your main PC.

I agree that this is a big problem. But there is not much you can really do about this other than let your AV software pick them up. I would not download from unsafe sites or places that you question.

The best way is to read the reviews of the users who have downloaded that torrent. Most good sites provide reviews.

Yes as funtoosh stated i agree strongly that you must read the users reviews of that certain product.If its really bad there would be a bunch of bad reviews stating the problems people had.Good luck in getting the correct software.
