Trace IP of mail.
I have got a email where I got some threats from terrorists. Id there some way to trace back the IP of the machine from where I got the mail. If its a dynamic ip, is there any way to trace that ISP.

Yes, the mail headers will contain the path the mail took to get to you, however they are infinately forgable so much so that most professionals almost dont bother looking at them anymore.

Yes Script Kiddies may not forge them but everyone else will so they dont actually help you.

I would be reporting these threats to local authorities and try to protect yourself that way. I would then contact your ISP and let them do the work with the authorities to get to the bottom of this.

If you are using yahoo mail then the IP of the machine will be displayed in the head of your mail and then there are many IP tracing sites like
hoostingweb.net
