svchost.exe file using up nearly 100% of CPU
I have hunted around and everything I read is convoluted or doesn't apply. I am helping another friend out with their pc. There were one or two BHOs on there; I did a thorough clean up, also ran regseeker; ran anti virus, now running antispyware. I am fast getting stuck.

Any bright ideas are welcomed! Should I get a hijack this log together?

Cheers!

svchost doesnt sound like a Windows process. If in doubt, terminate it, and see what happens. If it fixes it, go into startup and disable it.

Its a window process and a system as well so you need to check if more than 1 files are running and also if only 1 is working do reinstall your windows after backing up your data.
