I want to have 2 broadband connections on my PC and I am using windows XP professional. I want to ask is this possible and is there be any special security measure which I should take?

This may indeed be possible, but why would you want it? You would need two phone wall sockets, and possibly two routers and a switch.

If you have two computers it's a good idea if you got the dollar and would be a great setup to practice remote access type tasks on.

Care to say why? Sounds interesting.

Yes you can have two connections but why you want to do this because you can go for high speed connection instead of going for two connections.

Please explain more on the two broadband connections going into one machine. I haven't seen this in the TCP/IP settings in XP.

How have you seen this done?

Thanks.

The only time I would want two connection is in case your Lan goes down and maybe dial up might be an option or wi-fi or the like. especially for business purposes.

Yes and one can afford second connection only if you are earning good money and also don't have two connections from the same service provider.

There is no need of any security measure but all you need to do is make sure you properly configure which application is going to use which connection else they all will use the default connection.

Just connect the second connection and you'll automatically get all the options and no special security or knowledge is required.
