There is no need to use spam blocker as all html mail service provider already provide a good service and all you need to do is configure them properly.

I am using Hotmail for last 4 years and I don't think I need a spam blocker its always needed when your mail service provider doesn't provide you one for free and almost all of them give it today.

Quite a few do provide one for free but on the whole they aren't much use.

I use Message Labs myself, which is a high end anti spam/virus system. Even though I've had the same email address for around 5 years since switching to them I hardly ever get spam now perhaps 1 a month.

Recently Plusnet messed with its email server and deleted thousands of mails accidentally while some anti-spam appliance was installed. The ISP said 80 percent of the mails in its server were spam and had to do something, however, the end result was total embarrassment for Plusnet

Plusnet are a source of constant amusement where I work, everytime the mess up and get on The Register again we always sent the links around our teams just as a reminder to ensure we keep doing our job.

Saying that we know one day we will cockup that much and appear on The Register.

I don't use onebut there are plenty good spam gurads available like
1. Spam-filter
2. Spam blocker
you can use any of them and if you use http mail like hotmail then there is no need of any spam blocker.
