| My web host provides a spam filtering service. I use that, and then I use the spam filtering in Thunderbird (my email client) on top. Between the two of them, only a handful of spam messages make it into my inbox each day.
I wonder if user operated SMTP was counted in that survey. I've ran an SMTP server from time to time, and a lot of the default setups are completely open, and really attractive to spammers. I think the companies offering 'easy to use' SMTP servers should really do something about that. |
