Setting the Youtube

Is it possible to slow down or stop youtube from playing or downloading while the page is being loaded? As my package has just 8GB download limit, I would like to see that bandwidth is not wasted in this way. If anyone knows about any software that can cap the youtube speed? Currently I use firefox.

As you are using firefox you can use stop Autoplay plugin.

To slow down the speed and save bandwidth , you can also Flash block plug in.
