Is broadband in UK really cheap?
Like to know how everyone feels about current broadband prices in UK? When compared to the prices existed a couple of years, prices have come down considerably. But, is broadband is really cheap with relation to service quality and support it offers?

There are hidden costs and tricks that ISP use to hold us in their contracts. Personally I feel, these are stumbling blocks that prevent broadband from growing faster.

Any contrary opinions?

It is better to read the fine print carefully before you sign up for a particular broadband deal. ISPs have to make the prices look attractive as the competition has already mounted up.

There is another issue. Speed. I have signed up for a package thinking I would get atleast three-fourths of the speed they advertised. But I don't get even half of the maximum speed they advertised.

Prices? Yes, I think they are affordable and bundling packages has also helped us to bring all services on the same platform. Still, like the majority of the broadband customers, I am not very satisfied with broadband services in UK

I feel they are becoming cheap with Internet Service Providors offering us these bundle packages. These include of the telephone, television and broadband for a very low price. So yes i feel broadband is fairly cheap even if your not talking about these bundle packages alone they seem fairly reasonable.I just don't like when ISPs offer you rubbish services which mine do im afriad i've been battling them for years on customer support im getting somewhere at the moment there sending a BT engineer round to fix the problem for FREE how generous.

Nearly forty percent of households in UK do not have broadband connection and how can we say broadband is cheap? If you use broadband regularly and your family members browse daily or do other internet activities, then the price of broadband will sound cheap. Otherwise, I feel, ISPs need to bring down broadband prices further to a level that all households in UK become internet enabled.

Actually ive changed my mind slightly after what Sean said.40% that shocked me to be honest who don't have broadband. For broadband to actually be cheap and reasonable what do you say to about £5 a Month that sounds cheap.I mean its only for surfing the internet.
