Upload speeds and download speeds
Just want to know why upload speeds are set so low when compared with download speeds?
When the ISPs advertise they offer higher upload speed, the price also goes up. Does it mean offering higher upload speeds will cost the ISPs more?

It is ADSL or Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) technology that brings home your connection. It will generally allow faster downloading. As most of our internet activities require download not upload, so, download speeds will be set higher.

That's right. Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line (ADSL) cannot provide upload speed equal to download speed.

Whereas Symmetric Digital Subscriber Line (SDSL) can offer upload speed nearly equal to download speed.
