Who delivers ADSL+2 broadband in the UK?

I would like to choose a superfast broadband package as there is so much hype about it. I know this is a new technology called ADSL+2 and they say it can deliver upto 50 Mbps speed, however, I am skeptic over such claims.

My second question is, who deliver superfast broadband speeds in the UK? I live in Brimingham and would like to know which provider offers suitable package to meet my speed requirements.

Currently, I am with BT Total broadband and their services are good but I need more than that.

Any advice is welcome

Since you live in Brimingham, you can get Be broadband service which, in fact, offers high speed ADSL +2 broadband packages with speed up to 24 Mbps.

It is true that you may not achieve the speed that an ISP advertises. It is better to ask them to clarify you on this point. However, bear in mind that the distance between the cabinet/exchange and your premises is crucial for determining how much speed you will actually get.

You need to work out all this before you go for a high speed connection.

yes, adam, it is a good thing to talk to some technical personnel of the ISP and clarify on the speed issue, instead of taking the advertised speed as granted.
