Your lowest modem

The first modem I used was a 9.600kps modem and I thought it rocked. I would patiently sit and wait for a graphic to appear inch by painful inch

What was your first experience?

I had a 300baud accoustic coupler, you know the type, you put the phone hand set into the modem itself and it used the handset's speaker and microphone to transmit the signals, although I didnt use it much.

My first real used modem was a 2400baud, back in the early 90's

That was a long time back and I had don't remeber what they were called but it was a dail up and it used to take 4 min to get online

I had dial up when i first go my computer.It took ages to dial up and when you was connected the phone lines were blocked so no-one could get through.It was very slow god i remember the old times hasn't technology advanced rapidly.
