Make a TV antennae using vegetable or fruit!

Do you know you can make a TV antennae using vegetable or fruit?

All you need is a potato or some fruit like orange and a cable.

Hook the potato or orange with one end of the cable and stick the wire over the fruit with an insulation tape.(otherwise, the lead may come out of it easily.)

Insert the other end of the wire into your TV.

In case, it does not work, try to move the 'antennae' around in your room to get better reception of TV signals.

Is this a joke or some thing ? why you some one put a fruit on a cable and run around there house to get TV reception ?

This is certainly not a joke. I dont know whether this will work for cable TV, but to receive TV signals from local TV stations

I can't imagine getting very good reception by doing this, and it would make one God aweful mess. Interesting idea though, I wonder how it was discoverred.

That sounds a bit lethal putting fruit near electrical sources god i mean if you put a really juicy orange on it will run all over, go moudly and be really sticky.Haha you sure this will work never herd about this before sounds pretty decent though.
