| broadband speed I have had BT broadband for a few years, though it has never been fantasticly fast due to the distance from the exhange, it was still giving a speed down and up of 1800kbps (down) 370kbps (up).
At christmas I decided to have BT Vision included in the package when it came to the end of the contract with BT broadband, therefore taking out a new contract. The speed then dropt down to arround 1400kbps, the speed up stayed the same at arround 370kbps.
I have in the last 3 weeks I have noticed the speed has stayed the same or in fact went up slightly to 1600kbps BUT THE UPLOAD SPEED HAS DROPT TO ABOUT 5 TO 90kbps depending upon the time of the day.
I have tried disconecting the hub, and reconnecting it remains the same.
I have contacted the first line support a number of times and told that the resolution duty will ring bac, they don't.
I have since esculated it and the last thing was that BT Wholesale will reconect the circuit (using their software) and leave it for the 12 days for speed to pick up, this was done several days ago, so I was told, but I have not noticed any change in the speeds up or down.
