cancel and reconnect will cost you 280
BT will charge you 160 to cancel your existing contract and charge you 120 to get a new service . So that means if you want to move its 280 out of your pocket . What do you think about that ?

Surely that can't be right, I'm sure when I moved inot my house a year or so ago, I called BT and they just flicked a switch at the exhange and that was it. I cannot remeber being charged a load of cash for connection otherwise I would have stayed with NTL

That doesnt sound right, they cant charge you that much just for moving
That sounds like a windup to me. Was that direct from the people at the callcentres, or where did you get the quote?

BT are the worst for their big bills. The first time I ordered broadband, I got it from BT. Two days later I received a bill for £120.

Not a big fan of them, and their expensive.

I still dont think its that much. I have never had to cancel or reconnect, but that sort of price would scare of just about any customer
Call them, and see what they say. Tell them the price is stopping you taking the package, and i thikn they will lower it, as they dont want to lose custom
