configuring my ADSL 2+ router
I recently signed up to an ADSL2+ package and was offered netgear router. Still I am not able to configure the settings in my router to get optimum speeds. Here are the details:
Downstream Attenuation is 44 dB
SNR is 16.5 dB, so I get around 7000kbps.

Can anyone help to increase the speeds?

To me this seems like problem with your router not been able to meet the speed capacity. I would try getting a new router this will be able you to hopefully improve your speed and performance.

If you are continuously facing such problems then you should go for a well established providers of ASDL2+. Companies like O2 has recently launched ADSL2+ packages that has good offers. It is said to be best known for its high speed services.
