UK average broadband speed makes disapointing showing

While there has been a lot of posts recently about UK broadband speed being not that good, this image is about the best I've found in showing just how bad we actually are.



While its no surprise that Japan and Korea are ahead of us, countries like Poland and the Slovak Republic surprised me, are we really that backward? Or is this a reflection not on our phone services but of Broadband pricing.

Personally I think its a mix of both, "upto" 8meg services only really became mainstream early to mid last year, and I imagine quite a few people havent changed from their 1-2meg services, I even still know 1 person who is still on a 512k service by choice.

This is true and people in japan get more speed through their mobiles as compared to what we get through highest speed cable connection here.

Wow. Japan does rule alot of countries. Why do they get the fast internet and we dont?

I think the results include internet speed in the outskirts as well thus lowering the average connection speed.Koreans and japanese sure have taken big strides in fields of technology.

Woo yes the solution lets all migrate to Japan.United Kingdom is suprisingly low this is shocking really i would have expected us to have at least reach the half way mark.Thanks for this mate very intresting.
