Does it really matter what speed you have?
There are so many posts on here saying "Is my broadband fast enough", "how can I get it faster" etc.
But at the end of the day does it really matter? For the average user 1MBit is more than fast enough for what most people do online, will that fraction of a second saved downloading a web page really be noticable? No.
Ok there are certain things where extra speed is useful, such as VOD and VOIP but VOD is still start it downloading and wait and VOIP will on the whole work on slower lines anyway.
Apart from the odd torrent download I dont really notice the difference between 1MBit and 6MBit.
