Great forum and website. I guess people like me drop in and out only when we really need it but this has been very informative and well designed,
From our end we were with Telewest for a number of years, till the big Virgin take over, miffed when we lost Sky One, but decided loyalty would pay off. How wrong we were since April 07 till tonight they have failed to deliver a service we are paying for and as others have said there customer service leaves a lot to be desired. The final Virgin CS person I spoke to today looking at our record seemed quite amazed by our claims as I could tell her colleagues in India had failed to record anything and actions promised had not happened. She even started saying things like: 'Well the least they could have done...' and 'I'm amazed that did not happen'. this empathy would have gone down better, before Christmas rather than the usual, can you turn your set top box off at the wall and wait 30 seconds and turn it on again, grrrrrr!!
Anyway we finally told them tonight to take a walk, they say they need 30 days notice so I have till the 9th Feb to find an alternative.
Looking at the reviews on the packages listed it seems it is necessary to select the best of a bad bunch, am I wrong??
Sky seems to be the only one escaping major rath which is tempting me, but so is the free laptop at the Carphone Warehouse.
It strikes me that this industry is out of control at the highest level, we the punters pay the price and there seems to be no national standard needed for delivery, unless this is measured by levels of cr*pness.
Anyway sorry to go on but quite relieved at last to off-load Virgin, so where next....
The laptop could win.
