Max potential speed change on line
Hi,

For the last year I have had a 2MB connection with AOL, with the speed constant and no problems. Recently it has dropped to around 1MB (using a speed checker website). I checked on the BT wholesale speed check and it says the maximum potential speed I can now get is 1MB. This makes no sense to me as I have had 2MB speeds for the past year with no problem. I have tried talking to both AOL and BT about this, but neither are interested in helping (both parties say I should speak to the other). Has anyone had this issue before and found a way to get back to the original speed?

To compound my confusion, I have a second line for business use, which I imagine is actually coming through the same cable as my normal phone. The max potential speed on that line is 4MB.

Try a different faster package maybe upgrade to 8mb and see how this performs.

Just check out the Broadbandsuppliers homepage on the AOL section (http://www.broadbandsuppliers.co.uk/...dband-isp.html)
