If you properly notify everyone that you have changed broadband companies and therefore your email address has changed then you will still be able to get email to your phone. I would recommend that you get an email with yahoo, or gmail so that you never have to worry about this type of thing again.

Or even better still buy a domain name, and get GMail for your own domain. Always looks better than having @hotmail.com or @googlemail.com address to me.

Yes you still use GMail you get your own domain, so you can change suppliers anytime you like but keep the same email address.

No it would be <anything you like>@living2xl.com.

What I'm talking about is Google Applications for Domains you will still be using Gmail but on your own domain.

Plus you get Google Apps such as their online word processor and spreadsheet.

If you already have a web site, the chances are you already have email with it, so you wouldn't even need a gmail account - your web host probably offers a pop3 and webmail service, and details of how to use it were likely in the email you got explaining how to use your account to put files up with ftp, etc.

Only AOL can tell you about this.
Contact AOL as you'll have to ask them whether they'll maintain your email account or they will delete the account.
