Help for moving home
Hi,
Presently I live in South Gloucestershire and about to move to Surrey in a couple of months. I am currently with BT. Since I am moving home, how to take my broadbnd plan to my new home in Surrey?

I think there is no need to cancel my broadband service. Someone please help

I would suggest mate that you do not cancel your broadband subscription. Then when you move to your new home hope its lovely dude. Then contact them and inform them of your new address and details and hopefully it should still function correctly over there.

Your ISP will help you to move broadband to your new residence with a little fee about £50 or more. As it is BT, you need not worry and you wont have any problems in getting broadband in Surrey. Contact your ISP and inform.

Good luck

I am a TalkTalk customer. I recently have to move to another place and I was told to contact my ISP. It was a nice gesture from them that they helped me to move my broadband to my new residence so quickly.
I am really thankful to my ISP for their spontaneous service.

Next year, TalkTalk is going to introduce new plan according to which its customers who are looking for alternate line can get cheaper line rental without incurring cancellation charges.

More details can be found here.

TalkTalk customers are growing faster but it is disappointing to see ISPs do not have the capacity to support more number of people online, especially during peak hours.
Read a couple of months ago, there was a severe congestion in TalkTalk line in suburbs of London. I would really want these ISPs not to oversubscrbe on their networks. This will only cause congestion and throttling of speeds. An e-petition undersigned many consumers is to be sent to the government to examine into this issue.

Most ISPs also help in moving home with your broadband too. They have a separate help desk to attend the calls related to the problems of home movers.
However, it is better to contact them by post or by mail well in advance before you plan to move your home.

Yeah i would recommend writing them a long detailed letter Months before you move just so they know exactly whats the situation with yourself.Maybe then ring them up and make sure they have received it and they understand it and you should have no problems.
